Hartley TS16

"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbour. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover."

This was the motto that Clinton and I were aspiring to when we purchased our little boat. With the hope that we would be able to make small weekend trips on it.

We purchased our Hartley T16 for $2400 and spent about 6 months trying to make her water tight. After all our efforts she still managed to leak small amounts of water. As we did not have the ability to flip the hull we regrettably had to sell.

Please check out the new page I have created: Our first boat

This explains the work done on the boat in a very much summed up version.
